aDemod is a newly created collective of Edmonton, Alberta based sound and multimedia artists exploring the juncture between sound, film, video, interactivity and performance. For this event, the personel will be Shawn Pinchbeck - live electroacoustic creations and Aaron Munson, Kelley Bolen, Marsh Murphy, Colleen Langford - live projected film and video manipulations.

Marsh Murphy
Since the mid-nineties, Marsh Murphy has been working with various media arts groups in Edmonton and other places in western Canada; including Metro Cinema, FAVA (a media production co-op), and Global Visions Documentary Film Festival. He is a filmmaker and writer about the media arts, and is currently working on an experimental documentary about an abandoned gas station, which he thinks will be more interesting than it sounds.

aAron munson
aAron munson is a 23yr old filmmaker from Edmonton, Alberta, who has been active for about two years and has created 9 short films to date. Experimental in nature, aAron's work explores his own interpretation of the world around and within himself using a variety of different Super 8 and 16mm filmmaking techniques, such as pixilation, time-lapse, and stop-motion, exploiting the fine qualities of working with film, while incorporating the use of other mediums as well.

Colleen Langford
Colleen Langford is a self-taught artist who's work explores the emotional lives of girls, with the classic paper-cut silhouette as her primary focus. Using the techniques and aesthetic adopted in her process, Colleen has expanded the boundaries of her medium to include experiments with traditional stop-motion animation and Flash.

Kelley Bolen
kelleY boleN's newest obsession, video jamming, has seen her performing in 2005 in her home town at the Edmonton Works Art & Design Festival and at an experimental music festival TINfest both as the sole provider of visuals as well as in collaboration with other film and video artists. Before her foray into jamming, she worked primarily on stop-motion films of which she has completed one short called "/handled/" and is currently working on her second.

Shawn Pinchbeck
Shawn Pinchbeck is an Edmonton, Alberta based electroacoustic composer, performer, installation artist, teacher, and curator. For more than 20 years, his various solo and collaborative works have explored sound as a creative medium; often incorporating multimedia elements, computer interactivity, and multichannel sound.
